Dr. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Lake Forest College in Illinois in 1990. He received his medical degree from Creighton University, School of Medicine, in Omaha, Nebraska in 1995 and began his residency at Saint Francis Medical Center at the University of Illinois. Upon completion of his Obstetrical and Gynecological residency, he entered private practice in the Des Moines area in 1999. A dedicated physician in the field of women’s health, Dr. Brown joined Women’s Health Services in 2013. He is a board-certified physician.
Dr. Fahnlander graduated from Simpson College in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry. She attended Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center and received her medical degree in 2004. In 2008 she graduated from the residency program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. Dr. Fahnlander returned to Iowa and began her medical career in 2008. She is a Board Certified Physician.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Hansen entered medical school at the University of Iowa and obtained her medical degree in 1997. Her residency was at the University of Connecticut and upon completion in 2001, she began her practice in the state of Connecticut. She returned home to Iowa to continue her private practice at Women’s Health Services in 2003. Dr. Hansen is board certified.
Dr. Johnson graduated from Doane College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He attended medical school at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science in Des Moines, receiving his medical degree in 2001. Dr. Johnson completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Aultman Hospital in Ohio and began his medical career in the Des Moines area in 2005. He is a Board Certified Physician and joined Women’s Health Services in 2012.
Dr. Peters did her undergraduate studies at Augustana College in South Dakota graduating in May 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. She attended Des Moines University and received her medical degree in May 2011. Dr. Peters did her obstetrics and gynecology residency at West Virginia University and graduated from the program in June 2015. Dr. Peters practiced in her home state of South Dakota before returning to Iowa and joining Women’s Health Services in March 2018. Dr. Peters is board certified.
Kristin graduated from the University of Iowa in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing. She attended the University Of Nebraska Medical Center and received her Master’s in Women’s Health in 2014. She has worked in labor and delivery for a combined total of 13 years at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids and most recently at Mercy Medical Center. Kristin joined Women’s Health Services in 2014.
Kate graduated from Central College in Pella with a degree in Exercise Science in 1999. She attended Grand View University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2001. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse while attending the University of Kansas Medical Center where she received her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2005. Kate has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health since 2005 in the Des Moines area. Kate joined the staff of Women’s Health Services March of 2018.
